This is just a small sampling from new fabric books that I recently received. I am waiting on 3 new wallpaper and fabric books in addition to these that are due to arrive today. I started my career at a wallpaper studio in 1982 – Barry Rubin – designer and wallpaper designer extraordinaire helped me be inspired by pattern and color at a young age. I just love that wall coverings have returned to the forefront of decor – not your grandma’s florals! I know my first condo had wallpaper throughout that I could not get off the wall fast enough-but some are just beautiful and remain so for many years. Oh but back to fabrics – here’s some selections from Maxwell, Walfab, and Stout – Spring 2014. I can influence of past decades in the color ways as well as the patterns – but they are reassessed with different color ways or play of scale that makes them unquestionably today- enjoy!
